How it works

From click to cash, in plain English.

No jargon. No hidden mechanics. This is exactly what happens between the moment you click through to a retailer and the moment money lands in your account.

Step 1 — Find your store

Search our directory of 5,000+ retailers, browse by category, or install our free browser extension to spot supported stores automatically as you shop. Every store page shows the current cashback rate, the confirmation window, and any category-specific exclusions.

Step 2 — Click through and activate

Press the "Activate cashback" button on the store's page. This redirects you to the retailer with a special affiliate link that stores a tracking cookie in your browser. The cookie contains our affiliate ID and a unique click identifier tied to your account.

Two important rules: (a) do not click any other affiliate link — including coupon-code extensions like Honey — between activation and checkout, or the second link overwrites ours; (b) complete your purchase in the same browser session where you activated. Switching to the retailer's app usually breaks tracking, though a few retailers (Amazon, Walmart) do support app tracking after web activation.

Step 3 — Shop as normal

Add items to cart, apply coupon codes (from us or from the retailer's own emails — those preserve tracking), and check out. Cashback is calculated on the final amount you actually paid, after every discount and coupon.

Step 4 — Order is tracked

Within 24–72 hours of your purchase, the retailer reports the sale to the affiliate network, which posts it to your QuickCashback dashboard as "Pending." The pending amount is what you will earn assuming the order is not returned.

Step 5 — Confirmation window

The retailer waits out their return period — usually 30 to 90 days — before confirming the sale as final. During this window your cashback stays pending. Returns, cancellations, and chargebacks reverse the pending amount. Once the window closes, cashback moves from Pending to Confirmed. Confirmed cashback is locked in and cannot be reversed.

Step 6 — Withdraw

Once your Confirmed balance reaches the minimum threshold ($5 for PayPal and gift cards, $20 for bank transfer), open your wallet and request a payout. Most payouts arrive within 24 hours. PayPal transfers typically clear in under 5 minutes. There are no fees.

What if my order doesn't track?

Roughly 4–8% of orders fail to track for reasons ranging from ad-blockers to overwritten cookies. If yours doesn't appear as pending within 7 days, open a manual claim in your dashboard within 90 days of the purchase. Include the order number and the retailer's confirmation email. We escalate through the affiliate network on your behalf. 82% of manual claims resolve in the member's favour.

Real example

You buy a $180 pair of trainers at Nike. Nike pays a 6% commission through Impact Radius, its affiliate network. Impact keeps ~$2.16 as its network fee. QuickCashback receives ~$8.64 and passes $6.48 (roughly 3.6%) to you as pending cashback. Sixty days later, if you have not returned the trainers, the amount moves to Confirmed and you can withdraw it. Total elapsed time from click to money in your PayPal: about 62 days.

What we don't do

We don't charge a membership fee. We don't sell your data. We don't gate high rates behind a paid tier. We don't run misleading "up to X%" advertising if the X% only applies to one category. We don't hide exclusions in footnotes. What you see on a store page is what you get.
